Cluny 1400 Moderne
Simple as is stylish, the 55 5/16″ Cluny 1400 Range expands on the original Cluny design, with the addition of a Vertical Warming Cupboard, on your choice of either the right of left side of two traditional ovens. Acting as a true low temperature oven, the vertical warming cupboard offers a soft, slow cooking style in addition to a pre-entertaining warmer. The more intimate and traditional Old World ovens lend themselves to a nourishing and aromatic cooking style, while still supporting the 15-20 pound Thanksgiving turkey (depending on turkey height). Opt for two gas, two electric, or the luxury of dual fuel ovens, combined with numerous cooktop configurations. Choose from Classique, Traditional of 4-Burner hobs to complement supplemental work space or additional burner accessories.

What are the sizes of the ovens?
The Cluny sized ovens are 16w x 12h x 18d. The warming cupboard is 13w x 20h x 21d.
The Cluny oven seems small. What will my limitations be?
The Cluny oven is smaller compared to traditional American ovens. The compact oven provides a more efficient use of space, concentrating the heat on the food instead of the empty space. You can fit a roasting pan with a 15-20lb turkey inside (depending on turkey height)! Standard-size cookie sheets, casserole dishes, cupcake tins and most dutch ovens will fit inside. The only potential issues you will have are with frozen pizzas and pastry sheets, however, we provide you with pastry sheets that custom fit onto your oven racks.
Are your ovens gas or electric or electric convection?
Your choice! You may make the ovens both gas, both electric, or one gas and one electric. Convection is not an option for the Cluny models.
Can I get a convection oven?
The convection fan will take up 2 inches in the back of the oven, so we do not recommend convection for the Cluny models, as you will be losing precious space.
What are the electrical requirements for the range?
All ranges operate on 208-240 volts (for lower voltage needs, please call). Please refer to our technical pages for further information.

Cluny 1400
A. For the Cluny 1400 model, choose an overhead canopy with the following optimum specifications: 59″ wide (63″ for Cluny 1400 island applications) x 24-27″deep.
B. Blowers should be rated at 900-1300 cfm, with 10″ round ducting, or equivalent. Size should be measured by the style and quantity of cooking, i.e. Asian stir-fry (vaporized grease) requires higher performance blowers than French reduction (steam).

About Cluny
Cluny, a small town in Saône-et-Loire with about 3,500 inhabitants, is famous worldwide for its abbey. Founded in 909 by the Duke of Aquitaine, the abbey built three Romanesque churches in less than two centuries. The final one, St. Paul-St. Pierre, was the largest Christian church until St. Peter’s in Rome. By the late 11th century, Cluny was the center of Christian spirituality, overseeing 10,000 monks and 1,200 monasteries across Europe. The abbey was destroyed after the French Revolution, and its demolition continued until 1823. Today, only the Eau Bénite and Horloge towers remain. The town also boasts the Arts and Métiers School, the Ochier Museum of Art and Archeology, and the Hôtel-Dieu with its apothecary.
